DevOps Engineer

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, our DevOps Engineer will work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to develop, implement and maintain our growing portfolio of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Develop and deploy applications and new functionality based on business needs using high-quality code
  • Perform integration and regression testing as required to ensure quality
  • Work through bug fixes and improve application performance
  • Work on DevOps processes and tools supporting agile development teams, leading to continuous integration, test, and deploy methods
  • Develop and standardize DevOps processes for greater automation
  • Install and configure firmware on embedded hardware devices on custom Linux distributions (particularly Ubuntu)
  • Continuously document system configuration changes
  • Collaborate with system admins and engineers to diagnose and solve issues

What you’ll bring to our team:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong foundation in Python, Shell Scripting and Unix/Linux environments (e.g. Ubuntu or RHEL)
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Experience with AWS
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycles
  • Experience with virtual machines and containerized systems

Bonus points if you have:

  • Proficiency using enterprise logging and monitoring tools (e.g. ElasticStack, Zabbix, Graylog)
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Understanding of C++ and Node.js
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with Jenkins and Travis
  • Proven ability to develop and integrate APIs
  • Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS)
  • Interest in self-improvement and staying up-to-date on the latest technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
