Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, our DevOps Engineer will work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to develop, implement and maintain our growing portfolio of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
What you’ll do day-to-day:
- Develop and deploy applications and new functionality based on business needs using high-quality code
- Perform integration and regression testing as required to ensure quality
- Work through bug fixes and improve application performance
- Work on DevOps processes and tools supporting agile development teams, leading to continuous integration, test, and deploy methods
- Develop and standardize DevOps processes for greater automation
- Install and configure firmware on embedded hardware devices on custom Linux distributions (particularly Ubuntu)
- Continuously document system configuration changes
- Collaborate with system admins and engineers to diagnose and solve issues
What you’ll bring to our team:
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong foundation in Python, Shell Scripting and Unix/Linux environments (e.g. Ubuntu or RHEL)
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
- Experience with AWS
- Solid understanding of software development life cycles
- Experience with virtual machines and containerized systems
Bonus points if you have:
- Proficiency using enterprise logging and monitoring tools (e.g. ElasticStack, Zabbix, Graylog)
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Understanding of C++ and Node.js
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with Jenkins and Travis
- Proven ability to develop and integrate APIs
- Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS)
- Interest in self-improvement and staying up-to-date on the latest technologies
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
